Thankful

So thankful for my boys and my family~~

**Happy 4th of July 2010~~ This is our first 4th of July at home since Shane has been born! Honestly, the boys and I are missing all the fun of Summer Motion in KY! We will post some current pictures tomorrow from our fun right here at home! But... I thought it would be appropriate to post our 4th from last year while we were in KY!


You might be a redneck if...
* You started the day at Summer Motion so your 11 year old and his friends could watch the Free Wrestling matches featuring the OCW wrestlers!!



















* Then... at the family cook out (serving gumbo & fried fish) the eldest youngins'(over 16 under 21) shot bottle rockets out of beer cans or maybe it was bottles... but beer cans sounded better!
* and our cook out continued in the rain; therefore the youngest had to run around in shirt and diaper only since his shorts were soaked:)
















You might be a Redneck if....
* You celebrated the 4th of July evening at the local Shell station where your future brother in law works... (of course there was karaoke and free hotdogs & hamburgers!!)
* While at the gas station, you let your 2 year old run around and dance with the other youngins! At the same time, your 11 year old was dancing and being silly carrying his red, white, & blue (plastic blow up) rifle!~~
































* Then you watched the fireworks from the Walmart Parking lot (Located on top of the hill!)
* And you actually enjoyed doing all of those things while in KY for the 4th!!!

Just a quick post with some recent pictures from 2010. Of course, I took these pictures with my i-phone and it appears that the boys look quite serious... but I promise.. they had fun!!

A young lady named EVA has truly been an inspiration. I stumbled across her blog sometime ago and have been following her ever since. She has CF and has survived one double lung transplant. She has been waiting for a second double lung transplant (her body rejected the first) and it saddens me to say that time is working against her fight. Eva should be a role model for all of us. I try to teach my family to live life and treat each day and our family as a gift. Life is too precious to focus on things that truly don't matter. Don't sweat the small stuff...right? Eva has just posted a video on her blog and at her young age, she has known how to Live & Love and truly understands what's important in life. Please send some prayers for strength for her and her family. I will be very honest that her video is real and is heartbreaking.

* CF is short for Cystic Fybrosis. I have studied a lot about cystic fybrosis because both of my boys had to be tested for it, Antonio when he was 2 and Shane at 1. Shane had a lot of breathing issues and many of the symptoms that are similiar to CF patients. My friends may remember me talking about it often during the time he had the sweat test and the wait for the results. Through my research I realize the need to find a cure for CF and the importance of spreading the word about the importance and critical need for becoming an organ donor. I thank God that Shane tested negative for CF and that his breathing issues have improved.

2010 and February is already here! Life is always full of excitment with it's ups and downs. Our outlook on life is that time is precious and no matter what is thrown our way we can handle it and still enjoy our family! 2010 is about focusing on what's important and for us that is our two boys! They have the world at their finger tips and should enjoy every minute! We love you both more than you can ever imagine!
